Homeland Security Grants Available in 2008
July 8, 2008

In 2008, the Department of Homeland Security has released nearly $3 billion for grants to protect America from terroristic activities.

As you consider a specialty vehicle, think about its use for:

  • Law enforcement terrorism prevention. $1.69 billion is allocated for the Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP), which includes law enforcement's role in terrorism prevention.
  • Infrastructure Protection. $852.4 million is allocated for infrastructure protection, including port security.
  • Border Protection, as part of Operation Stonegarden. $60 million is allocated for border security improvement.

If you need help negotiating the sometimes confusing waters of grants, feel free to contact Allen Johnston. He has years of experiencing working closely with Homeland Security professionals and excels at making sure you get the vehicle your department needs and that fits within you budget.
